5000 youths benefits from special public works program in Borno



Babagana Umara Zulum alongside Minister of state Labour and employment, Festus Keyamo SAN were in Damboa local Government area on Tuesday to flag off a Special Public Works Program in rural areas, approved by to Government.

5000 young men and women are to benefit from the program. Five local governments are to benefit in each state of the federation. Damboa is among the 5 Local Governnment areas to benefit in Borno state.

Benefitiaries are to be paid a monthly stipend of 20,000 Naira for three months.

Damboa local government was chosen specifically for the launching of the pilot program.

Director General National Directorate of employment was also at the flagging off.
